A big congratulations to all the students who are reading regularly at home. They are all the better for the responsible reading they are achieving.
Thanks to the generosity of our Shire Council Year 2 are able to visit our Filtration Plant at Batehaven at no cost to; us at all. The council covers the cost of transport. We all learnt such a lot and some recounts from the trip will be posted later this week. Gillian Kearney came to talk to all of Year 2 about the importance of water in our world. We learnt such a lot and hopefully students talked about it at home. You can ask your child what he/she learned that day.
Last Thursday was Outdoor Learning Day. A windy start meant we waited until later in the day. Finally, with a drop in the breeze we headed outside to start making our grass men and then to do some sketching of the beautiful things around us. Our sketches are not yet finished but they will be posted next week.
Our grass men are sprouting and we'll bring them home to look after during the holidays. |
