The time has come around very quickly for my planned Long Service Leave so I wish to let you all know that I will be taking leave as of next Tuesday June 6 until the commencement of Term 3.
This leave is to allow me to travel to Canada, where I have taught for two separate years in 2007 and 2011.
The Year 2 class that I taught in 2011 will be "graduating" from Year 8 and moving on to High School. I have kept in touch with many of these students and parents (and even grandparents) since my year of teaching there and I am excited to be attending the preparations and the formalities of their "graduation."
I will also enjoy being in Canada for Canada Day (July 1) which marks their 150th year so celebrations will be extra special.
I'll look forward to being back in the 2F classroom on the first day of Term 3 and will be keen to hear what all my students have been up to in my absence.
I will have the school reports completed before I go and they will be given out when all other classes do so.
Ms Tina Sorenson will be relieving me for the 3 1/2 weeks while I am away.
Julie Frost:)
