We were all amazed to see the beautiful artwork that Eva showed her class mates yesterday. She explained there is a website that teaches you to create these pictures. We all loved them and Eva selected two of her favourites for this photo.
Congratulations to all these fabulous students who have been regularly exchanging their Home Readers and reaching levels that allow them to receive an award.
I hope EVERYONE will borrow regularly. Some students are doing a great job of that! We will be sad to say goodbye to Ali tomorrow - he will be having his last day in a our class before he moves out of the area.
We are planning to have a class party at lunchtime tomorrow (Thursday.) Hopefully you all received the note that was taken home on Monday. The children can bring in some food to share - party foods are OK on this rare occasion - small sandwiches, sweets, biscuits, chips, cakes, fruits etc. We will miss Ali and we wish him all the best as he commences at a new school. It has been pleasing to see the students return homework. Well done to those who are doing so regularly.
It's always good to see the efforts to complete Homework neatly and with best efforts demonstrated. Each week the Homework will be posted on this class blog so watch this space on Monday. Each Friday afternoon all of Year 2 get together in groups to enjoy a variety of activities including design, create, technology and group games - such a great way to end the school week!
Liam Harper visited our school to talk with Year 1 and Year 2 about the importance of not littering and the need to keep our community and our waterways clean. Now we are making some anti-littering posters for our classroom window.
How lucky we are to have the new playground equipment on Captain Oldrey Park. Sometimes we use it for our Fruit Break.
