Welcome to 2F 's Website for 2017
Welcome to you all and most importantly to the students in my class this year.
I am so pleased to have the opportunity to teach your child in 2017. I will enjoy getting to know you and your child better throughout the year and working together to enhance your child's education.
You are very welcome to come and visit our classroom anytime.
We will be joining for a variety of activities with the other Year 2 classes - 2M with Mrs Emma Morgan and 1/2S with Mrs Smith - and ensuring they have plenty of opportunities to work and play together.
Year 2 is a year that offers enormous enrichment. Students become more independent in their learning whilst simultaneously developing their skills to assist, share and learn in cooperative groups.
I look forward to assisting each child to reach his/her maximum potential within a caring, cooperative classroom. Each of these children is special to you and I, so I encourage you to be part of the "team" that enables this learning to thrive.
Please, therefore, know that you are welcome in my classroom at any time. I can assure you your assistance in the classroom will be greatly appreciated by the students and me! There is always much to be done.
Please let me know of any food allergies, health issues or anything happening at home that may impact on your child's attendance and/or learning so that IU can be supportive when needed during the day. You can send a note or contact me through email or come and see me - my classroom door is always open to you.
Remember to regularly check this 2F class blog on the school website for photos and news. You can also use the blog to see notes that have been sent, submit absence notes and make contact with me. Please note, however that I don't get messages during the day so please don't rely on sending a message that is pertinent to that day. I only check at the end of a school day as there is no time during the day to do so.
Please make sure you have downloaded the school app as it's a great way to keep up to date with school news.
It is a year of much growth and development of independent learning habits and along with this comes the satisfaction from each child when they know they have done their best.
Please come by and say hello. I'm sure there'll be a band of smiling faces keen to greet you!
